Unfortunately, Costa Ricans seeing that people were already being vaccinated, due to their

despair of being locked up for so long and their free time for leisure at Easter, caused the number of cases in Costa Rica to increase for the month of April 2021.

The Costa RicanTourism Institute, the Ministry of Health and the Private Industry have implemented strict hygiene and safety protocols to protect our visitors. From January to March 2021, Costa Rica reactivated international arrivals and as a country we managed to increase the number of airlines, the number of seats available and the visit of 203,755 people by air. The Security Perception Index for Costa Rica from June 2020 to today has remained oscillating between 80 and 90 points.

The tourism minister has repeatedly mentioned that the rate of positive cases in international visitors in tourism is 0.15.

Traveling in your bubble following the safety guidelines, using personal protection and using serious providers that have all the permits, safe travels seal and implementation of protocols makes Costa Rica a safe destination to travel.
